Cree expands high-power colour LED family with new XLamp® XP-C colour LEDs

Cree sets a new standard for indoor LED lighting with the XLamp® MX-6 LED, industry’s first lighting-class PLCC LED

Cree has expanded its family of high-power colour LEDs with the availability of XLamp® XP-C colour LEDs in royal blue, blue, green, amber, red-orange and red. These new XP-C LEDs are 10-to-50 percent brighter than Cree’s previous midrange colour LEDs.

XLamp XP-C colour LEDs are designed for 0.5-watt to 1-watt operation and can provide a cost-effective solution for many colour lighting applications. In addition, XP-C LEDs are often compatible with existing optical designs, potentially reducing system design costs.

“Cree continues to expand design options within our industry-leading XLamp XP LED family,” said Paul Thieken, Cree, director of marketing, LED Components. “Cree offers the broadest portfolio of colour LEDs in the industry, from high-brightness LEDs for the signage and entertainment industries to high-power LEDs for applications including architectural, colour, stage, emergency vehicle and transportation, all in a wide range of price-performance levels.”
