The FH72 features a unique one action lock which allows a FPC to be inserted into the connector without opening the actuator, this allows production operators to insert cable with one hand or by automated machinery to save valuable assembly time and reduce mating failure. Furthermore, the design of the connector allows for easy insertion of the FPC into the connector due to a wide entry point.

The robust one action locking mechanism provides a high retention force on the FPC, this firmly retains the tabbed FPC into position for secure mating. The connector also features small openings on the top surface to allow for manual or automatic visual inspection systems to check the FPC is correctly seated in the connector.

The compact pitch of 0.3mm reduces space needed on the PCB making them ideal for applications where space is at a premium, furthermore the FH72 series is designed with an integral molding structure that has no gaps to prevent solder wicking despite the compact pitch.
