Bulgin has announced the launch of its new line of IP68 and IP69K rated piezo switches, designed to meet the needs of a wide range of demanding applications. In contrast to conventional switches, piezo switches have no moving mechanical parts, making them extremely resilient and capable of enduring millions of actuations, offering long-life operation in even the harshest environments.
Available in either aluminium or stainless steel, Bulgin’s high-end, vandal-proof piezo switches have a robust one piece construction, ensuring resistance to physical impact. Extreme temperatures from -40 to +85 °C can be accommodated, while environmental sealing guarantees weather and waterproof operation. Customers have a choice of 16, 19 and 22 mm hole diameter, ratings up to 24 volts and 1 amp with momentary and latching functionality, as well as multiple illumination options.
Dave Weaver, Product Manager for Bulgin, commented: "Bulgin’s high-end piezo switches have been carefully designed to withstand the most arduous uses, including heavy industry, electronics, public transport, military and defence, marine and food processing. We look forward to using this recently released product range to help meet the demands of our customers’ challenging applications."
