Introducing Compact Isolated 1W Regulated PCB Mount AC-DC Converters from Murata, samples available from Anglia.
The low power BAC1 series of isolated 1W regulated AC-DC converter modules is the first series released by Murata Power Solutions from the BAC family of board mount AC-DC converters. The BAC1 series modules are housed in a compact single in-line package (SIP) format that is compatible with the common industry standard footprint.
The modules are rated at 1W and have a universal input voltage range from 85V to 277VAC making them suitable for use across all regions, there are three popular output voltage options of 5, 12 or 24VDC making them useful in a wide range of applications. Efficiency is typically up to 74% depending on input/output conditions and the model chosen.
The BAC1 series has been designed for the most demanding environments and can deliver full power in a static air environment over the full industrial temperature range. The BAC1 series has ultra-low standby power consumption from 19.5mW, depending on model and input voltage condition, allowing it to meet low energy and cost saving applications.
The BAC1 series meets multiple agency safety approvals, they are UL60950-1 recognised and EN60950-1 certified with recognition pending for EN/IEC61558-1. Recognition is also pending by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) to ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and provides 2 MOOP (Means Of Operator Protection) and 1 MOPP (means of patient protection) based upon a working voltage of 277VAC max., between primary and secondary.
The BAC1 series operates over the wide industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, supporting operation in still air for the most demanding environments. All models deliver full power to 85°C, and operate from -40°C. The BAC1 has ultra-low standby power consumption for demanding energy and cost saving applications.
