Introducing the JR Series of Robust JIS C 5432 Compliant Circular Connectors from HIROSE
HIROSE the world-class manufacturer in connectors, introduced the JR series of robust circular connectors to meet the requirement for connectors that conform to JIS C 5432 for industrial applications.
The connector range consists of plugs, receptacles and jacks that range in different shell sizes from 13 to 25 with the capacity to handle currents up to 30A (Amps). Available with 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 14, 16, 24 and 26 contact positions, the silver plated crimp contacts are available in loose or reeled format to suit automated crimping equipment. A hand tool is available for the loose crimp contacts and a contact removal tool is also available to allow for swift removal of the contact from the housing if required.
The JR series connectors are very reliable and have been specified for 500 mating cycles, as well as handling currents up to 30A (max) the connector can also handle voltage ratings up to 1000V AC (max) depending on the model selected.
The JR series are available in a choice of bayonet or threaded locking mechanisms both of which ensure a good connection. The bayonet locking system is designed to facilitate fast connection and has good resistance against vibration whilst the threaded locking system gives enhanced mechanical security and provides a user-friendly operation due to its design. A threaded locking cap is also available for receptacles to protect the connector when not mated.
The JR series versatile metal shell is constructed from robust nickel plated aluminium alloy allowing these circular connectors to be useful in many different applications including industrial controllers, robots, medical devices, smart meters and servers.
