Binder have introduced 3 series of circular connectors which have been designed specifically for the Medical Industry, the 770 Medical, 720 Medical and 620 Medical series are all moulded using DEHP-free plastic in a grey-white colour similar to RAL 9002.

All 3 series have been ergonomically designed and feature IP67 degree of protection making them fully dust proof and suitable for use in environments where they are likely to be submerged in liquid. Each range can be specified with coloured sleeves on the male and female insert section of the connector allowing for easy identification and to prevent incorrect connection.

770 Medical series

The 770 Medical series has a bayonet locking system and is available with 8 contacts and solder terminations, connectors can withstand > 5000 mechanical mating cycles making them ideal for applications where they are going to be plugged in/out multiple times.

Three male cable mount versions are available to suit cable diameters 2.5~4mm, 4~6mm and 6~8mm. Two female panel mount connectors are available with a choice of terminations suitable for connecting to solder wires or for direct soldering into a PCB. The female panel connectors feature a shuttered connection which maintains IP67 degree of protection in the unmated state.

The connectors have a voltage rating of 175V, current rating of 2A and an operating temperature range from -25°C to + 85°C.

720 Medical series

The 720 Medical series features a Snap-in locking system and is available in 3, 5, 8 and 12 contacts with solder terminations. The male and female cable mount connectors are suitable for use with cable diameters from 2.5mm to 8mm depending on the number of contacts selected. The connectors can withstand > 500 mechanical mating cycles.

Male and female panel mount connectors are available with a choice of terminations suitable for connecting to solder wires or for direct soldering into a PCB. The combination of male and female cable and panel mount connectors make this series suitable for wire to wire or wire to panel connections. The range is available in grey-white colour with red, blue or green colour as standard options on all male and female cable and panel mount connectors allowing colour coding to prevent incorrect connection.

The connectors are rated from 60V to 250V and have current ratings from 2A to 7A depending on number of contacts selected, connectors are suitable for use over an operating temperature range from -25°C to + 85°C.

620 Medical series

The 620 Medical series features a Snap-in locking system and is available in 3, 4, 5 and 8 contacts with solder terminations, the male and female cable mount connectors are suitable for use with cable diameters from 3mm to 5mm. The connectors can withstand > 500 mechanical mating cycles.

Male and female panel mount connectors are available with a choice of terminations suitable for connecting to solder wires or for direct soldering into a PCB. The combination of male and female cable and panel mount connectors make this series suitable for wire to wire or wire to panel connections. The range is available in grey-white colour with red, blue or green colour as standard options on all male and female cable and panel connectors allowing colour coding to prevent incorrect connection.

The 620 Medical connector series utilises a compact design with a diameter of just 11.5mm allowing a higher density of connections to be integrated onto a panel. The series has voltage ratings from 63V to 125V and current ratings from 1A to 3A depending on number of contacts selected.
