Now available from Anglia, Bocube robust enclosures from Bopla are ideal for outdoor use.
The innovative and versatile industrial enclosures in the Bocube series from Bopla are trendsetters. There are few individual parts, which simplifies assembly, and single-sort plastics without injected metal parts make recycling easy. In addition, because of their weather resistance, Bocube enclosures made of polycarbonate UL 94 V0 are especially suitable for outdoor use.
Electronic enclosures are not only used in protected indoor rooms. They are often exposed to wind and weather, for example when used in agriculture, traffic or the field of renewable energies. This is where the polycarbonate UL 94 V0 Bocube enclosures can demonstrate their abilities. The wind, weather, changing temperatures and above all ultraviolet radiation cannot affect this material, which also has excellent mechanical characteristics. All this ensures that the electronics inside are protected against the effects of weather. The Bocube enclosures PC material suitability for outdoor use has been confirmed by its f1-listing according to UL 746C. The enclosures are also sealed against ingress to IP 66/IP 68 - 1.2m (2 hours) according to DIN EN 60529.
Innovative system
The Bocube enclosures are constructed from flame-retardant or self-extinguishing materials ABS and polycarbonate UL 94 V0 are easy to assemble and have a unique range of features and components. 22 enclosure sizes and two lid and colour variants are available making it possible to create 132 different standard enclosures for electronic components. The Bocubes patented hinged catches feature quick-release technology without screws: open with a screwdriver, close by hand. The hinges & lids are available in many different colours including crystal clear and translucent green, they permit visual matching to the customer's corporate design and also the development of interesting lighting effects by the use of LEDs mounted underneath the hinged catches. Most lids have an area which is recessed by 2 mm for the fitting of input devices such as membrane keypads. The lids can be opened to the left or right, as required, which makes it easy to assemble and access the electronics.
The Bocube enclosures provide space for scored PCBs and rectangular mounting panels which can be installed in both the lid and the base. Rectangular front panels can be fitted in the base by means of distance bolts. Generously-sized free areas guarantee sufficient space for the installation of cable glands, D-sub connectors and other connectors. The patented enclosures consist of single-sort plastics without injected metal parts, so they can be easily recycled when equipment reaches end of life.
