ARCOL HS series Power Resistors now stocked on Anglia Live
Manufactured in the UK to meet the requirements of MIL 15546 and IEC 115, the HS series of metal clad power resistors from ARCOL are available in power ratings from 10W to 350W. The power resistors have an integrated aluminium heatsink to aid heat dissipation and are designed for direct heatsink mounting with thermal compound to achieve maximum performance. The integrated heatsink also provides convenient mounting lugs allowing the resistors to be fixed to a panel, chassis or another heatsink.
Available in resistance values from 5m Ohm to 100K Ohm depending on power rating, the HS series resistors have a standard resistance tolerance of 5% but can be specified in tolerances from 1% to 10%. TCR is from 25ppm to 100ppm depending on value and maximum working voltage is up to 2.5KVdc depending on power rating.
With a high power to volume ratio, the HS series utilise a wire wound construction to maximise high pulse capability from 1KVac to 5KVac depending on the model chosen. The resistors are available in 10W, 15W, 25W, 50W, 75W, 100W 150W, 200W, 250W and 300W power ratings and are all RoHS compliant.
The HS series resistors are ideally suited to applications with high power requirements such as dynamic motor braking, dummy loads, ballast, snubber, current sensing/shunt, energy transmission and inrush current limiting.
