Introducing the Gecko Horizontal High Reliability 1.25mm pitch connectors from Harwin

Harwin's Gecko connector range now offers new horizontal male versions, to add to the existing range of vertical & crimp male connectors and vertical & crimp female connectors. This gives the benefit of increased design flexibility, with the same high performance.

The horizontal connector options allow mother-daughter board configurations, or reduced PCB stack height when used with cable connectors. The male horizontal connectors have the option of locking latches, these latches can be dis-engaged either by hand, or with special tools when access is restricted.

The horizontal connectors also have mechanical hold-down features which offer further flexibility of design, the through board barbs or SMT fixings give improved PCB retention, minimising the risk of connector damage during use.

Compact pin spacing of 1.25mm pitch.
2A per contact (all contacts electrically loaded at 25°C).
Resists Vibration (10Hz to 2000Hz, 20G), Shock and Acceleration (both 50G).
Wide operating temperature range -65°C to +150°C.

Harwin Gecko connectors are designed and manufactured to achieve high numbers of mating cycles but also feature low insertion and extraction forces. Mouldings are manufactured from Halogen & Red Phosphorus free, glass-filled thermoplastic, an environmentally friendly material that has eliminated harmful chemicals before they have been added to restricted substances lists.

The Gecko connectors are ideal for applications which require high reliability connections such as Military, Aerospace, Oil & Gas exploration, Medical equipment, Robotic systems and UAVs.
