Anglia appointed UK Distributor for Honeywell Sensing and Control
Wisbech, UK, 15 July 2013 – Anglia Components today announced that it has been appointed UK and Ireland distributor for Honeywell Sensing and Control, giving its customers access to one of the world’s broadest electronic sensor and switch portfolios.
According to David Potts, Divisional Marketing Manager - Semiconductors, at Anglia, “Honeywell Sensing and Control is a perfect fit with Anglia’s strong portfolio of analog and digital semiconductors. It allows us to offer the complete signal chain from detection and measurement through transmission of data to monitoring and control. Honeywell is one of the best known and recognised names in electronic sensing and control, a hugely respected company with an outstanding reputation for innovation. We are extremely excited to be offered this opportunity to take their technology to our customer base.”
Responding, Steve Kenny, Distribution Channel Leader EMEA at Honeywell Sensing and Control, said, “Honeywell is constantly expanding its portfolio of solutions to help customers improve the performance, reduce the cost and enhance the efficiency of their systems. We need to ensure that our channels to market expand to reflect this, and sought a distributor with the design in expertise to identify new opportunities for Honeywell. In Anglia, we have that distributor.”
Under the agreement, Anglia will be able to offer its customers in the UK and Eire the full Honeywell Sensing and Control portfolio of more than 50,000 sensing and switching devices. Its portfolio covers all of the major parameters used to monitor the performance and control of industrial, medical, aerospace and other systems in the world today. These include pressure, temperature, speed, position, current, force, airflow, oxygen, infra-red and humidity sensors. Anglia will also be offering Honeywell switches, controls, precision aerospace products and other electromechanical devices. The most frequently ordered parts will be available on a same-day shipment basis via the Anglia Live website, and the full portfolio will be supported via Anglia’s flexible logistical service.
