New safety approved DC-DC converter from MurataPS delivers extended power rating

The new safety approved MEJ2 is a fully encapsulated compact through-hole 2 Watt DC/DC converter. The series provides a pin-compatible upgrade path from Murata's NMJ, MEV1 and NMV series.

In a compact SIP format, the MEJ2 series has about twice the power density of its predecessor, the NMJ series, while offering safety agency recognition according to UL60950 for basic/supplementary insulation for voltages up to 200 Vrms.

The series maintains high levels of efficiency of 79% typical at light loads, saving power, reducing temperature rise and increasing product reliability.
