The DD1-series supports USB 2.0 connections for portable devices such as music players and digital still cameras, by delivering a high-quality connector to handle the high-speed and high-volume file exchanges with a host PC using the new 480Mbps USB2.0 standard.

This range includes a cradle connector, a device-mounted receptacle, and a cable-mounted plug. The connectors have 30 contacts on a 0.5mm pitch, with a secure ground connection for EMI prevention. Hot plugging is supported, and a guide rail is also incorporated to prevent twisting at insertion and removal. The receptacle is designed to require a very small mounting area within the terminal product, demanding 24.2mm width, 6.65mm depth and 3.0mm mounting height. The connectors are compatible with Pb-free soldering processes.

The DD1-series has a 10,000 cycle lifetime and an operating temperature range from -25 to +75°C. AC-rated voltage is 30V RMS, and each member meets the requirement of 1000 M minimum insulation resistance and 500Vdc dielectric withstand voltage.
