Eurohm "Fusible" Resistors offer affordable protection

Eurohm manufacture a range of industry standard fusible resistors which provide a simple and low cost method of protecting equipment against overloads.

Available in a variety of power ratings from 0.33W to 1.0W, each version has a wide choice of E24 resistance values down to 1 ohm, all 5% tolerance.

Designed as safety components for audio and video circuits, all of the resistors feature flame retardant coatings and are ideal for protecting power supplies and expensive semiconductors from overload conditions caused by malfunction in part of the circuit. With the advent of semiconductors becoming highly integrated and expensive there is an increasing requirement to protect these components from overload conditions.

Physically compatible with conventional resistors, they are supplied taped in ammo-boxes for auto insertion.

The range comprises of the following:

Type Rating Body Size Fusing Characteristics Datasheet
FR25   0.33W   6.5 x 2.3mm   Within 60sec at 6W/4W*
FR25H   0.5W   6.5 x 2.3mm   Within 30sec at 9W Within 10sec at 12W
FR50   0.5W   9 x 3mm   Within 60sec at 12.5W/7.5W*
FR100   1.0W   10 x 4mm   Within 60sec at 25W/15W*

*dependant upon value

N.B. Type FR25H offers the advantage of a smaller body (standard 0.25W size) and fast fusing times.
