Industry compatible 6.5 inch VGA TFT enhances Hitachi portfolio

Hitachi Display Products Group has announced the introduction of a new high performance 6.5" VGA TFT display. The TX17D01VM2CAA features an active matrix, transmissive TFT LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels (VGA). A low power white LED backlight is used to provide a high brightness of 600cd/m². |
The lifetime of the LED backlight is specified as 70,000 hours. The TX17D01VC2CAA delivers exceptional optical performance in many operating conditions and environments whilst the LED backlight delivers reduced power consumption ease of control and long lifetime.
"With the introduction of the new 6.5" VGA module we are continuing to enhance our medium size display product portfolio. The TX17D01VM2CAA display module has dimensions of 153.0mm (w) x 118.0mm (h) x 9.0mm (d) and an industry standard 18-bit RGB CMOS interface providing support for up to 262K colours. These two key features enable the TX17D01VM2CAA to offer mechanical and electrical compatibility with other industry standard 6.5” VGA display modules. The new TX17D01VC2CAA also supports a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C
A touch panel version of the display will also be available to support a wide range of embedded industrial systems, instrumentation, security and process control applications.
