STMicroelectronics releases Li-Ion linear battery charger with gas gauge

  STMicroelectronics has introduced STW4102 a stand-alone constant current, constant voltage linear charger for Li-Ion batteries.

Key features include a gas gauge system, an integrated power switch used in linear mode to regulate the output voltage and current, a highly configurable I2C interface and the ability to charge via an USB port or adapter.

The STW4102 is highly integrated, with no external components required, and ideally suited to hand held battery operated applications.

The device is supplied in the QFN24 4mm x 4mm package.
