The Panasonic FP series – leading the field in ultra low ESR SMD aluminium electrolytic capacitors

In terms of ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) this new FP-Series of 105°C SMD Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors achieves values close to polymerized organic semiconductor capacitors.

In detail, the ESR value of an FP-Series G-case size is now only 60 mΩ and an FP-Series F-case size is a maximum of 80 mΩ over the capacitor lifetime (2000h@105°C). These very low ESR values enable a ripple current of 1190mA@100kHz/105°C.

In comparison to the current Panasonic FK-series the ESR values have been decreased nearly by 50%.

If you require high vibration and shock resistance, the FP-series can also be supplied in an Anti-vibration version, with special supportive terminals and a higher bottom plate socket enabling these capacitors to withstand up to 30G acceleration. The vast majority of the values in the FP-series are available as Anti-vibration versions.

The FP-series attains all relevant automotive standards and is suitable for automotive, telecommunication and industrial applications.

The FP-series is in mass production and samples are available now.
