Tyco Electronics has introduced a new generation of surface mount automotive connectors that eliminate the need for selective solder operations. |
Product Features
- Vertical or horizontal PCB orientation
- Terminal position (coplanar location) is controlled within 0.13 mm and can be applied with lower amounts of solder paste
- J-shaped terminal leads provide a large solder area and are compliant to thermal and mechanical stresses, minimizing solder joint stress
- Includes a Coplanar Alignment Rib (CAR) that provides excellent terminal position control for demanding automotive market
- Available in a range of position sizes from 4 to 52 circuits

Tyco Electronics CAR SMT connectors incorporate a Coplanar Alignment Rib (CAR) that delivers best-in-class terminal position control for the demanding automotive market. The CAR SMT connectors require no additional fasteners to attach these connectors while preserving precious PCB space and reducing applied costs.
