Anglia was awarded the prestigious 'RoHS Trusted' Kitemark on 20th December 2005 by BSI Product Services in recognition of its ability to support the electronics industry in the run up to the RoHS compliance deadline, and beyond.

Anglia has developed an innovative free Web-based information service called Part Tracker to help their customers through this important transition period and beyond. Part Tracker allows the user to search for components by part number and to view their current RoHS status, to load and build a Bill of Materials, along with the facility to view and determine an up-to-date RoHS status on all these parts at any time, with the option of an advisory e-mail when one of the selected parts becomes compliant. Other features of Part Tracker include product change alerts for Product Change Notices (PCN's) and Product Termination Notices (PTN's).

A unique product labelling system has also been introduced to clarify the RoHS status of all components purchased from Anglia. The labels on each package show full data against each of the three parameters categorised by JEDEC standards: MSL (Moisture Sensitivity Level), PBT (Peak Body Temperature) and 2nd Level Interconnect (Terminal Finish/Material). A unique barcode identifies the status of an individual package, and a large clear symbol indicates whether or not the product is RoHS compliant.

Says Anglia's sales and marketing director Jim Ward, "We believe Anglia is leading the market in terms of the level of information we provide through Part Tracker and with our labelling system. To our knowledge no other component supplier offers as comprehensive a source of information on RoHS compliance as Anglia does, and it has already brought us some significant design wins on our semiconductor products."
